COVID-19 Pandemic

As Pennsylvania enters the Green Phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, Northeast Community Center remains committed to being a food resource for our Bethlehem communities.

EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2020

FOR CLIENTS

Beginning July 1st 2020, Northeast Community Center’s Food Pantry will resume collecting client information such as name, address, and self-declaration of income.

In addition, we will resume our normal practice by serving clients who live in zip codes 18017 and 18020 once per month per SHFB regulations. Until further notice, we will continue to follow CDC regulations and social distancing guidelines, and require clients to wait outside. When visiting on or after July 1st 2020, please be prepared to sign a self-declaration form when visiting our pantry.

Our COVID-19 hours of operation will remain the following until further notice:

TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS | 8:00am – 1:00pm

SECOND WEDNESDAY EVENING OF EACH MONTH | 4:30pm – 7:00pm

Thank you for understanding and please feel free to contact us with any questions at (610) 691-3355

FOR DONORS

If you are interested in supporting our mission and continue helping us meet the needs of our community, there are several ways you can help:

AMAZON WISHLIST: As we enter the green phase and continue our operations with volunteers in the building, we have compiled a list of pantry items and safety items we are in need of at our agency. Please view our list by clicking HERE.

MONETARY DONATIONS: Any monetary donation, small or large, will help us continue to operate our food pantry and serve an increasing amount of families weekly. It will also help us support the operating expenses of our Summer Feeding Program, which we are doing in partnership with BASD for children 18 and under residing in Bethlehem.

FOOD DONATIONS: As we continue to operate our food pantry, we are always grateful for food and hygiene product donations. These items include non perishable items such as carbs (pasta, rice, boxed/bagged mashed potatoes), canned vegetables, canned fruit, breakfast items (pancakes, oatmeal, cereal), meals-in-a-can (soup, ravioli, tuna), and hygiene products (toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, lotion, etc). Please call us if you are interested in donating so that we can schedule a drop-off/pick-up time that is most convenient for you.
