Northeast Community Center is committed to being a food resource for our Bethlehem communities during this difficult time.
Governor Wolf has deemed Food Pantries essential, life-sustaining businesses and NECC is committed to providing food to those in need during Pennsylvania’s shelter-in-place mandate and will remain open if there were to be any country-wide lockdowns. Our food pantry will remain open weekly during the following days & times:
TUESDAYS – 8:00am – 1:00pm
THURSDAYS – 8:00am-1:00pm
We have been asked by Second Harvest Food Bank to be a “hub” for emergency food during this time. What this means is we will continue normal pantry operations but also be offering emergency boxes of food. Furthermore, given the current emergency situation, we are serving all families who come for food, regardless of their geographic location (example, if a family is from Slatington and needs food, we will give them food.)
Although uncertain times are ahead of us all, the health and safety of our staff, partners, and community members remain a top priority. We have taken many precautions to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our center as we stay open. We are asking clients to remain outside and stay 6 feet apart as NECC Staff retrieve their food and bring it to them.
If you have any questions regarding our food pantry operations or if you are interested in learning how you can support NECC during this time, please contact us at (610) 691-3355 or email@example.com
