Letter From Our Executive Director

One of the highlights of 2021 so far has definitely been welcoming our Summer Campers back to NECC! After having to cancel the program last summer, it felt so great to offer the camp this year. Summer Camp is so much more than just a fun activity for kids. Our program offers a safe environment for children while their parents are working, mentoring relationships, and countless opportunities to try new things.

WFMZ | Drive-by Senior Luncheon

On Friday, July 10th, Northeast Community Center hosted a drive-by Senior Luncheon for the senior citizens of the community. After having to pause our Connecting Seniors Program due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NECC wanted to find a way to connect with the seniors of of the community so we developed a drive-by senior luncheon parade and delivered a total of 45 meals and COVID care packages. PBS39 News Reports | Emergency Food Pantry

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Northeast Community Center has remained committed to be a hub for food access for our Bethlehem communities. Since March, NECC’s pantry is distributing up to 8,000 pounds of food per week – two to three times more than normal. We are so grateful to have been selected for Fig Bethlehem’s Giving Back section of their Summer 2019 issue!
