How Do We Help?
Northeast Community Center has been a pillar of the Marvine-Pembroke community for the past 40+ years. In order to assist those in our community, we offer programs for all members of the household regardless of their age.
Our food pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 12pm, and every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm – 7pm. Our hygiene pantry, which opened in June of 2024 is open the 1st Monday of the month from 12pm-2pm. It is the first of its kind in the are and is available to all residents of Bethlehem. We offer basic hygiene necessities including body wash, toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant.
Since the very beginning of NECC one of our most beloved programs in our Annual Summer Camp which is open to children in Bethlehem entering grades 2nd-8th. We spend 7 fun-filled weeks continuing their education, swimming twice a week, participating in crafts, sports, science experiments, and going on field trips. To help engage the whole family we offer a Family BINGO Night 8 times a year in which the whole family can come enjoy a free hot meal, play 11 games of BINGO, win fun themed prizes, and enjoy a technology free evening bonding with those they love most.
For the past few years we have also offered two free Community Events for our families to participate in, an Annual Easter Egg Hunt complete with an Easter Bunny and thousands of candy and prize filled eggs, and our Cookies and Cocoa with Santa party where Santa is available for pictures and we offer a make your own hot chocolate bar and a cookie buffet.
To finish off the year we conduct two distributions during the holiday season to those living in Bethlehem Housing Authority. We distribute 200+ Thanksgiving Dinners which include a frozen turkey and a bag of sides. Then our Christmas Gift Distribution in which we give out hundreds of Christmas Gifts to children in need. While these are the big things we do throughout the year we are always here to help those in our community in all ways big and small!
