How Do We Help?
Northeast Community Center has been a pillar of the Marvine-Pembroke community for the past 40+ years. In order to help those in our community reach their highest potential, we offer programs that assist all members of the household no matter their age. Our food pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 12 pm, along with every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 5:30 pm – 7 pm. During the school year, we offer an After-School Homework Club to students in 1st-8th grade, where they can come and get assistance with their homework and participate in daily activities, crafts, and experiments. Since our inception, one of our most beloved programs is our Annual Summer Camp for students entering 2nd – 8th grade where we spend 7 fun-filled weeks continuing their education, swimming, and going on a few special trips. We also offer a Connecting Seniors Program for those 55+ where we have bi-monthly luncheons, play BINGO, and offer our senior citizens a place to socialize and connect. Lastly every year during the holiday season we conduct a Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Gift Distribution to residents who sign-up for holiday assistance. While these are our main programs we are always here to help the members of our community in all ways big and small. From assistance with paperwork, making copies, or just to point someone in the right direction NECC is always there!
